#1 Eucalyptus Essential Oil Helps with Muscle Aches & Sprains

The first benefit that you may not be aware of is eucalyptus essential oil can be used to help with muscle aches, sprains. I do want to mention I’m not a doctor. I’m not giving you medical advice, per se, this is in the realm of aromatherapy, and these tips and suggestions are more for relatively minor issues that you may experience. If you feel like you need to go to see a doctor, by all means, do that. But if you’re just using an over the counter muscle reliever for some kinds of aches and pains, and you want to try a more natural relief, you might want to consider using eucalyptus essential oil for that.

Anytime that you’re going to use an essential oil over any kind of large area of your body, which I’m sure you would be doing with this for the muscle aches and pains, you just want to dilute it 2% in a base oil. like even olive oil, or we use sapphire oil for our body oil, but some type of almond oil, perhaps some type of skin friendly base oil, so or just a few drops, couple drops to like a tablespoon of oil, base oil. So you don’t want to be taking eucalyptus essential oil and rubbing the straight oil all over your skin. So more is not necessarily better. You would want to dilute the essential oil into a base oil, even olive oil or safflower oil or almond oil. vDon’t just use it straight, and it’s going to help ease the aches and pains of a strong workout, or even arthritis can help with that.

#2 Helps with Minor Burns & Scrapes

The second benefit of eucalyptus essential oil is that you may not be aware of is that it can also help with minor burns, scrapes and insect bites. Again, it should be diluted in a base oil at a 2% dilution rate. Now if you’re just have, like a mosquito bite or something like that, and you’re just going to dab a drop onto your skin for that particular little spot, by all means, one tiny drop is fine. But if you’re using any essential oil over a large area of your skin, you don’t want to be using it straight. So keep that in mind as we go through all of these tips on eucalyptus essential oil, or any of the essential oils that I talk about, typically, they always need to be diluted.

#3 Helps Relieve Itching

Benefit #3 is that it can help relieve itching from insect bites. And again, remember the reminder, just tiny little drop here or there, no problem. But if you’re doing it over a large area, please use it safely and responsibly.

#4 Eucalyptus Essential Oil Great for Hair & Scalp

The fourth benefit of eucalyptus essential oil is that it also is very beneficial for your hair and your scalp. You can work it in in a shampoo, again, diluted, but it’s going to help with dandruff and itchy scalp issues. It also helps improve the circulation around your hair follicles, which can encourage hair growth. So you can put just a few drops into your shampoo and then use your shampoo as normal. Again, more is not better. You don’t want to be having half and half eucalyptus oil and the rest shampoo. Or if you want to already have it done for you, we actually have a liquid shampoo, Eucalyptus and Tea Tree Shampoo.

#5 Benefits Sinus Pressure & Headaches

And for the fifth benefit of eucalyptus oil, it is great for helping with sinus pressure and headaches. When I was a child, my mom would keep a little jar filled with eucalyptus leaves in the kitchen. We would go and sniff when we had stuffy noses or just wanted to clear our head a bit. Eucalyputus Essential Oil can do the same thing. This is probably the benefit you most associate with eucalyptus.

The scent of Eucalyptus is also great for helping improve focus and clarity. It can really help clear away the mental fog that you might be experiencing. Scientists believe that it’s the menthol in the eucalyptus that has those great restorative properties. For relief you can just dab a drop or tw on your temples. But again if you want to use it over large areas at all then make sure to dilute it. One other safety caution to be aware of is that you should never ingest eucalyptus essential oil. It is actually toxic if taken internally.

Conclusion

  1. Help with Muscle Aches & Sprains
  2. Ease the pain of Minor Burns and Scrapes
  3. Help relieve the itching of insect bites
