I love to see the butter sculpture every year at the Texas State Fair. It’s always a surprise because you never know what the subject will be but it’s always wonderful. It’s housed in the Creative Arts building in a sub-zero glass class and the scene depicted is generally life sized. The amount of detail on the sculpture is just amazing. This year it depicts a girl pulling her cow down the path towards the Texas State Fairgrounds entrance. There is also a mother and her son carrying his rooster for entry into the show as well. They are dressed in period clothing from the 1800’s. I hope you get a chance to see it in person but if not enjoy the video.
Below are some other photos from the Creative Arts building and the adjacent Embarcadero.
