Foods high in anti-oxidants are one of the best choices for healthy skin. These include yellow and orange fruits and vegetables such as carrots, oranges and sweet potatoes. Also at the top of the list are spinach and other leafy greens, fatty fish such as salmon and mackerel. Nuts, berries and avocados are also on the best for healthy skin list.
Refined sugars and grains along with dairy products are on almost every list of foods to avoid for healthier skin. There is some difference of opinion regarding dark chocolate as some sources list it as a good for your skin food and others have it to be avoided. Fast food should be avoided as well as any food you are sensitive to.
Obviously water should be at the top of your list, but there are also drinks such as coconut water, green tea, cucumber juice, tomato juice and lemon water. Staying away from dairy is good way to move towards a better complexion.

I think by now everyone knows how important water is to your skin and your overall health. You probably also know that sodas are not good for your skin. Some beverages that are a little more controversial. Orange juice has a lot of vitamin C which is good, but it also has a lot of sugar which is bad. Coffee is another beverage that gets mixed reviews. The following is a short list of good for you beverages that shouldn’t be on anyone’s list of NO NOs.

Everyone is different and goodness knows I have tried a number of different approaches to improve my diet. I think one of the key things is choose a way of eating that you can maintain. Last summer after hearing a talk on being vegan, I decided to stop eating meat and cut way back on dairy. I still eat fish and eggs and honey, but I am feeling better and my weight while not moving down as much as I would like is at least not continuing to climb.
