Handmade soap from scratch is created using oil, water and lye. These three ingredients must be mixed in the correct proportions so that they chemically combine and become soap.
Liquid Shampoo is a different process than bar soap or shampoo.
I wanted to give you a little more specifics on changes regarding our new website and where to find things that have moved.
It has been a busy few weeks. Jerry and I went on vacation to Scottsdale and then the Grand Canyon for a few days. We flew back home on Sunday, May 12th Mother’s Day. Monday was busy with orders and then since it was my birthday we went out for dinner that night. By Wednesday I was down with a 24 hour stomach bug and then early, early Friday morning it was off to the HSCG conference here in Grapevine. It was a great conference and I learned a lot. One of my main take aways was that I need to get serious about switching my website to a new ecommerce platform. I think I have found a platform but it is going to take a lot of work and time. In the meantime we do have some more products back in stock like our Cinnamon Spice Soap. Cinnamon Spice Soap Till the next post, Susan
I am excited to announce that Peachy Page Farm here in Scurry now carry a selection of Susan’s Soaps & More products. Peachy Page Farms is the creation of Robert and Cindy Page and there are a lot of reasons you should check them out; over and beyond the fact that they now carry our products.
Deja Vu, a boutique in San Angelo, Texas and Esthetic Beauty by Lori in Arlington, Texas are now selling Susan’s Soaps products.
Lemongrass Soap Our Lemongrass soap is now back in stock as well as Patchouli, Peppermint & Tea Tree and more Eucalyptus & Tea Tree. I apologize that we have been out of a number of products lately, but we are working hard to get everything made and ready to ship. Typically we let our inventory levels go down at the end of the year since we have to pay property tax on everything in stock on December 31. We then were vendors at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo which resulted in great sales but also running us out of a number of products. We already have restocked the soaps mentioned above and have Lavender Rosemary, Lime & Sage, Almond Oatmeal and Ginger Lime curing on the shelves. So we should be fully restocked on everything soon. There is also a new soap special on our website: Orange Clove. And I wanted to mention once again that we will be at the Houston Stock Show and Rodeo beginning this Tuesday. We are leaving tomorrow and returning Friday which means that any orders placed this coming week will not ship out until the following week. Till the next post, Susan…
Susan’s Soaps will be at the Houston Rodeo on March 11, 12 and 13th. We will be set up at a Go Texan kiosk in the NGR Center in Hall B. Our Booth number is B13034-B13037 on Barrel Racer Expressway. The hours are 10:00 am – 9:00 pm each day. We are bringing soaps, lotion bars, body butter and soap samplers and of course handing out free soap samples. If you are going to the Rodeo on any of those days please stop by and see us!
A little over a week ago Jerry and I drove down to San Antonio to present our products to the H.E.B. buyers for their 1st Looking Your Texas Best contest. About 84 companies had expressed interest in attending and we were honored to have been one of the ones chosen to participate.
Susan’s Soaps & More will be one of the participating vendors at the Sugar Ridge Winery Gal’s Night Out. This fun event happens on May 19th from 5 – 8 pm. at the Sugar Ridge Winery in Bristol, Texas.
