It may sound counterintuitive, but there is an undeniable connection between our emotional wellbeing and our appearance. Hold tight—I’ll show you why this is true and provide savvy tips for both achieving joy AND achieving beautiful skin!

Here are six powerful ways to make the most of what you’ve got and flip your whole mindset. Buckle up!

Practice Contentment with What You Already Have

If you’re thinking, “Ugh, another feel-good article about gratitude,” just hold on, Nancy. Because while I’m not here to tell you that rainbows and unicorns are the cure for every problem, giving a little shout-out to your current blessings can totally change your perspective.

When you practice contentment with what you have, you’re not only showing gratitude for what’s in your life, but you’re also taking time to focus on the positives (instead of always stressing about what you don’t have). That’s a recipe for feeling good AND getting things done.

When I start feeling frustrated with my life here are just a few of things I bring to mind to feel more content:

  • A wonderful husband and son
  • A home in the country which is where I always wanted to live
  • Good health
  • My own business that I enjoy

Find a list that you can mentally turn to and realize that yes, even XYZ may be super frustrating at the moment but you are grateful for these things in your life!

Stop Comparing Yourself to Others

This is one of the toughest lessons for me personally. Unfortunately, it is too easy for me to fall into the trap of looking around at other small businesses and asking myself why I am at not more successful. Or walking into a friend’s home who keeps an immaculate house and beat myself up because mine own is not as spotless.

But what you and me both need to be asking ourselves is;, “Why let comparison steal your joy?”

It’s like wishing you were a bear when you are, without a doubt, a brilliant hippo. When we indulge in measuring ourselves up against others, we ignore our unique personality and what we can offer to make the world a more wonderful place. Instead, bloom in your own exceptional journey and make the most out of your amazing life.

Invest in Quality, Not Quantity

The saying “less is more” has never been more true! Don’t be fooled by the notion that having more is always better. Whether you’re shopping for clothes, furniture or food, quality should trump quantity every time. Instead of a closet stuffed with bargain bin finds, invest in a few fashion-forward pieces that you’ll cherish. What about food? Well, it’s simple! Stick with wholesome, unprocessed foods instead of fast food. Not only will you feel better, your taste buds will thank you too!

K.I.S.S. is Key for Happiness

Who needs a complicated, cluttered life? Certainly not you, sweetheart! Keep it simple and watch the happiness unfold.

Allow me to introduce your knight in minimalist armor – this simple strategy. With it, you’ll have fewer clothes collecting dust, less furniture taking up space, and meals that won’t send you crying to your kitchen.

Let’s sprinkle some more joy in life by keeping things basic; a simple garden that will bloom friendships rather than making you want to pull your hair out, one or two streaming channels to avoid binging guilt, and – drum roll please – a skin program that’s easy peasy lemon squeezy – what’s not to love!

Don’t Waste Your Time

“Tick-tock, don’t waste the clock! You may have the same 24 hours as everyone else, but what you do with them can make all the difference. Spend your precious time chasing after what truly matters, not running in circles. Make every second count by crafting a deliberate path that leads to success.

And hey, we all need some R&R, just make sure it’s quality ‘me time’ that replenishes your soul and sparks joy, not some lackluster activity that leaves you feeling drained. Time is priceless! Spend it smartly!”

For myself, I love to spend a bit of time on my back porch enjoying my backyard and petting my cats.

Live in the Moment is Key to Happiness

Living in the moment is great for your mental health because you can’t cry over yesterday’s cheesecake or stress over tomorrow’s workout (or lack thereof). Instead, soak up life’s precious moments, like catching up with your crew and savoring your fave dish.

Quality over quantity, baby! Pare down your possessions and focus on things that actually bring you joy. Trust me, your inner minimalist will thank you. And let’s not forget to nix pointless tasks and swap them for moments that matter. It’s time to prioritize the good stuff! You got this!! 😎

It’s a Wrap!

By taking the advice in this blog post, you can experience huge gains in your overall happiness. Find contentment with what you already have, stop comparing yourself to others and live in the moment. Invest in quality instead of quantity so that you can have a better quality of life.

Remember: K.I.S.S! stands for “Keep It Simple, Sweetheart” and don’t waste your time searching for things that won’t add value to your life – focus on what makes you happy! Whether it’s a peaceful walk alone or a loud night out with friends, living in the moment is key to experiencing true happiness.
