We just put up our new Shaving Soap on our website. We used castor oil to help achieve the great conditioning lather. Bentonite clay was also added for “slip” so that you can get a smooth, close shave. Of course it’s all natural, made with all vegetable oils and no animal testing, just like all of our products.
Last night I attended the Texas Monthly State Fair Kick Off Party at the Food & Fiber Pavilion. I took some photos giving you another look at some of the behind the scene events at the fair as well as some videos including a very short interview with Daryl Dean of TDA. I hope you enjoy them.
Yesterday I set up our space at the Texas State Fair which opens this Friday, September 25. We are a member of the TDA’s Go Texan program and through them are able to have our products sold in the Mercantile Store which is located in the Food & Fiber building of the Texas State Fair. I find it rather fascinating how this big empty building is transformed into a space teeming with events and activities and products for the duration of the fair.
This post is in response to more pictures of our log home. I also included some views of our pecans trees that may actually give us edible pecans this year as well as our four chickens in their movable pen.
Our newest soap scent, Fir & Cedar came about as a result of a customer request. One of our customers had requested a soap that smelled like a Christmas tree. We thought a soap that smelled like a Christmas tree sounded like a good addition to our line so we went to work on it.
Lavender essential oil is probably regarded by many as the single most important essential oil nature brings us. I know lavender is our best selling scent among our products. If you are interested in delving into the world of aromatherapy and want to try an essential oil lavender is a good place to begin.
Plus this market we will have our new All Natural Liquid Soap to present as well as our Fir & Cedar Soap. We wanted to let everyone know about them as well as present our wedding favor items better so they wouldn’t be overlooked in the booth. Our wedding favor items had just been somewhat jumbled in among everything else and now they have their own shelf all their own.
It can be tough to find a non antibacterial soap out there. In fact that’s precisely why one of our customers was begging us to make a liquid soap. She knew our soap would not only be non antibacterial but all natural as well. As hers was not the only the request we had received for this product and I was interested in learning the process as well we decided to take the plunge.
Our lotion is all natural! That single sentence encompasses the main point of what’s so special about our lotion.
